Every once in a while, you do something so retardedly spontaneous that even you look back in shock and wonder if it all happened. Egypt was one of those times. During a comedy tour in Jeddah in April, Sherif Azab, a comedian and a good friend, told me he would be heading to Egypt in a few days for a massive comedy show. He invited me to come along. Admit it Sherif, you never thought that I’d actually DO it
So there I was, a week to go till the comedy show in Egypt. No ticket. And no visa. What followed was an ill planned out trip to the Embassy in Riyadh (thanks for letting me crash at your place Faraz!) and a bit of online booking magic (yey for Expedia!) and I was ready for my first trip to AFRICA!

Quite honestly, I never really thought that I’d end up in Egypt. I’ve had the dream to go there for so long that I always thought it would remain that. It wasn’t until 4 days before I flew out, when I walked out of the Egyptian embassy in Riyadh with a visa in hand that it finally hit me.
I was going to see the pyramids.
