As some of you might have been aware (or not!) I’ve pretty much dropped off the face of the Internet for the past couple of weeks. I disappeared off Twitter, haven’t updated my Facebook or Flickr. And I haven’t commented on your blogs (though I have been reading em).
I’d like to say it was because of work or stress, but then I’d just be lying. I’d like to say “It’s not you, It’s me”, but then I’d just be trying to be cheesy ;P Simply put, I just wanted to prove to myself that I wasn’t addicted to the whole social networking thing. I felt myself turning into one of those people who anxiously check their Facebook every 5 minutes and look at any life experience and think “Ok, so how am I going to blog about this?”. So I basically pulled the plug. No FB, Twitter or blogging for a few weeks (though I still check my gmail a million times a day!).
So what have I been up to instead of stalking random people on Facebook? You’re looking at it. That’s right, I dusted off my web designing, PHP and JavaScript knowledge (relics from my time as a computer engineer) and decided to completely rebuild my website. It’s now completely based on wordpress, and all my portfolios and projects (see ‘Home’ page) are actually blog posts (which don’t appear in the actual blog !).
Added a couple of neat features as well. You can now chose weather to see the photos in low-res or hi-res. See my last post for a demonstration. Just click ‘expand pictures’ and behold the awesomeness
So basically, I spent my last few weeks indulging my inner geek.
And now I’m back.
So where were we?
