It isn’t every day that you get to photograph an angel. There’s just something about little children that make them such wonderful subjects to shoot. They laugh, they play, and every now and then, they show genuine glimpses of their personality. Kids grow up fast, and it is these moments we treasure the most.
A project for the US Islamic Horizons magazine, I was asked to photograph a historic mosque located in Detoit, MI. The photos were published in the January/February issue of the magazine.
Maz Jobrani and Ahmed Ahmed toured Saudi Arabia from June 3rd to June 7th, 2009 as part of the LOL comedy tour organized by Smile productions. The traveling crew hosted shows in Jeddah and Riyadh, both public – for comedy fans – and private – for diplomats and VIPs. And there was one very special show put on for members of the Saudi Royal family.
I was the official tour photographer, taking shots of the shows, fans, TV interviews and backstage antics of the people involved!
Not exactly what you might expect in the Middle East. A rock concert featuring local bands and attended by hundreds of fans. I was the official photographer for ‘Egypt’s First Comedy Rumble’ tour which featured Axis of Evil stars Ahmed Ahmed and Maz Jobrani, as well as world famous comedians Ted Alexandro and Angelo Tsarouchas. The tour, lasting 4 days featured shows in Cairo and Alexandria.
