Interactions happen among all the animals of the Savannah, regardless of whether they are linked in the food chain. This is a photo-story of what happens when elephants and hippos come to odds with each other.
Given the fact that we spent two days in the most densely packed animal reserve on the planet, 1 post (or even 2) can no way convey all the amazing things we saw. It’s one thing to see a lion sitting across from you, but a completely different experience to hear it roar, get up, stretch, and come sit down next to your safari car.
The Masai Mara is known as the most densely populated animal reserve on the planet. A fragile ecosystem being run by extremely powerful natural forces, the Mara always leaves its visitors awestruck with how untouched it is.
There’s more to Nakuru National Park than just the pretty (PINK!) birds. The conservation surrounding the lake hosts an ecosystem teeming with wildlife. From Zebras and Monkeys to Lions and Warthogs, this is the ‘other’ side of Nakuru.
An hours drive north from Navisha lies one of the most breathtaking sights in Kenya. Covered with millions (I prove this mathematically) of flamingos, Lake Nakuru is a sure spot for one the most surreal experiences of this photographers life!
Just 2 hours north of Nairobi, Lake Navisha, one of Kenya’s largest freshwater lakes, is a haven for a wide variety of birds. From plain old ducks to more exotic eagles and pelicans, Navisha offers some of the most breathtaking ornithological sights in Africa! Also, not devoid of pop culture, this is where the 1985 film “Out of Africa”, starring Robert Redford was shot and also bears close proximity to Hell’s Gate, the stage for Disney’s Lion King!
So umm yeah.. I went to Kenya…. ;P Travel itinerary (along with maps!) included inside. More posts and pics forthcoming!.
The landscape between Makkah and Taif is littered with mountains and valleys. While not as lush and green as the mental image we get when we say valley, these Wadis are the center of the regions agriculture, with farmers producing everything from fruits and vegetables to honey! Read on for pictures of some local wildlife and the interesting lives of honey farmers in Saudi Arabia.
Anyone passing through Ta’if to Makkah in Saudi will run into these little critters on the side of the mountain. Staring at cars and waiting for fruit handouts. I get a little close up and personal with the monkeys… well maybe not THAT personal… that’s how Ebola started.. 0_0
