Currently there are two breweries in York County. The South County Brewing Company is the newest. The brewery opened in the fall of 2016 and has 24 taps. It produces all of its beverages on-site and specializes in IPAs, sours, and imperial stouts. The brewery was established by Jared Barnes, a former Wyndridge Farms employee who trained in Germany. The brewery is located off route 83 and is accessible by car or bicycle.
